Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each going to paint two of their work vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.
Throughout the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be donating 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans in addition to giving $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.
This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise money for Susan G. Komen. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, the general manager and one of his employees both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.
“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the amount of cases is actually going down each year, that still represents a huge number of families who are dealing with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”
Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s sentiments. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the number one type of cancer in the state – for both females and males.”
