The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reaffirming, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the business have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is non-mandatory and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without being NATE-Certified.

It’s essential to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.

Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses primarily on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may earn certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be assured that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job the proper way from the beginning. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the ultimate care of your equipment.
